Stewart Airport Car Service

SWF is New York Stewart International Airport, in the Town of New Windsor in Orange County. It is a commercial airport north of the city, not a Manhattan terminal and not Westchester County Airport (HPN). If your ticket says Stewart, White Plains, or Newburgh in conversation, check the airport code before you book the car. The official site is swfny.com, run with Port Authority airport information. Airline schedules and alerts change there. We do not republish a flight board.

Send the operating flight number, the date, a mobile number that works after landing, the passenger count and a bag list. Add the full drop-off address, including the borough or the town. A hotel name without a street is not enough when more than one property shares it. Say whether anyone needs a child seat. If the car should continue to a second stop, or wait, that belongs in the same request. Landing time is not the moment the party is at the door with bags.

The airport's pick-up and drop-off page says the terminal curb is for active pickup and drop-off, not parking, and that an unattended vehicle may be towed. It describes a short-term lot in front of the terminal where the first 15 minutes are free if the passenger is not ready, and a cell phone lot at 840 Brooks Street, New Windsor, NY 12553, less than half a mile from the terminal. Drivers picking up are told not to wait at the curb unless the passenger and bags are already there. Departing passengers may be dropped at the curb in front of the airport. Those are the airport's instructions. Our confirmation should say where we will meet. We are not claiming to be one of the airport's listed shuttle contractors.

Work backward from the airline's guidance on when you should be at SWF. Then add time to leave the building, load the car and drive. A Manhattan, Brooklyn or New Jersey start is a different quote from a start in Orange County or the Hudson Valley. Give the pickup entrance and the flight. If you are also checking bags, the airport says to arrange mobility help with the airline at least 24 hours ahead when you need it. That airline request is separate from the car.

Choose a sedan, SUV, S-Class or Sprinter from the people and bags on this trip. The sedan and S-Class are listed for 3 passengers. The SUV is listed for up to 6. Sprinter seating must be confirmed. Hourly starts are $120, $150, $230 and $240 with a three-hour minimum, and they apply when the car is retained, not as a published Stewart flat fare. A transfer is quoted for the actual addresses. Tolls and parking are part of that quote, not something to discover later. Eight hours in a sedan, if you truly hold the car, starts at $960 before those extras. Most SWF trips should not be forced into a full-day hold unless you need the car after the airport.

Check the airport code on your flight: Stewart is SWF; Westchester is HPN. Include that code with the flight number and destination so the car is requested for the correct airport.
