JFK’s ongoing Terminal 5 and 7 advisory directs arriving for-hire and car-service passengers to take AirTrain to the Howard Beach pickup lot. This also affects the walking and transfer time before reaching a vehicle. Check the current advisory before travel and confirm the meeting instructions for your flight. Departing passengers can still be dropped at their departure terminal under that advisory.

Use the current arrival terminal and the meeting instructions confirmed for the reservation. If a flight moves terminals or the party is delayed at baggage claim, contact the booking team before leaving the terminal for a different location. Do not follow a saved pickup instruction from an earlier trip.

Give the full destination address. A Manhattan hotel transfer differs from a Brooklyn residence or an onward Long Island journey. Include a luggage collection stop, another passenger pickup or a meeting on the original request. If you need the vehicle to wait during appointments, ask for hourly service rather than adding an unconfirmed hold to a transfer.

Confirm that everyone and all bags are together at the agreed location. Share a mobile number that works after landing and identify a backup contact if needed. Ask the written quote to explain the wait allowance, when waiting starts, and any charges for a changed itinerary. Flight arrival time is not the same as passenger-ready time.

Provide the pickup entrance, airline, operating flight number and departure date. Work backward from the airline’s recommended airport arrival time, then allow for loading the car, traffic and terminal access. A hotel checkout, bag collection or another pickup belongs in that calculation.

Give the passenger a ready-to-leave time at the building, not just the flight time. If the trip follows an appointment, leave enough room for the appointment to run late and contact the booking team before changing the agreed pickup.

A sedan is a starting point for a small party; an SUV may suit more people or larger cases, and a Sprinter can suit a group. Count checked bags, carry-ons and strollers separately, and give dimensions for oversized equipment. For a child-seat request, include the child’s age and size and confirm the seat arrangement before booking.

Request a JFK quote for the actual addresses and vehicle. Ask it to identify tolls, parking, any meeting-service charge, waiting and additional stops. The local sedan and SUV starting minimums are not JFK airport fares. For a car retained after arrival, compare an hourly itinerary with a direct transfer.
