What has to happen before the JFK departure
The airline’s airport time is the end of the plan. Manhattan checkout and bag collection sit in front of it.

Set a ready-to-board time
A hotel checkout time is not necessarily the time passengers and bags will be outside. Settle the room, collect stored luggage and bring the whole party to the agreed entrance before pickup. For residences or offices, supply access details and a reachable passenger contact.
Confirm the departure flight
Provide the date, airline and flight number so the departure terminal can be checked. Domestic and international itineraries may have different airline check-in requirements. Check those requirements directly with the airline; no car-service travel-time estimate guarantees that a late passenger will make a flight.
Keep the departure itinerary complete
List any colleague pickup or hotel stop before requesting the quote. If the first meeting runs late, contact the booking team before adding a stop or changing the departure time. Request an address-based plan that allows for traffic and airport construction rather than relying on an off-peak map estimate.
Departure drop-off is not the Howard Beach arrival rule
The current Terminal 5 and 7 advisory sends arriving car-service passengers to Howard Beach by AirTrain. Departing passengers can still be dropped at their departure terminal under that advisory. Your reservation should say departure, the airline and the operating flight so those are not mixed up.
Build the Manhattan side first: the door, the bags, and anyone joining from a second address. Then apply the airline’s recommended airport arrival time. If a meeting might run late, name the person who can release the passenger. The sedan and SUV point-to-point starting minimums are not a JFK fare.
