Airport Pickup Entrances and Curb Access
Use the confirmed airport, terminal, level and meeting location together. A door number on its own may be incomplete or outdated, and not every car-service pickup is at a terminal curb.

Use the entrance the airport assigns
Saved door numbers from a previous trip are a common error.

Read the current airport instructions
JFK Terminal 5 and 7 arrivals currently use the Howard Beach pickup arrangement in the airport advisory. LaGuardia directs car-service passengers to different locations at A, B and C. Newark passengers follow the applicable terminal’s ground-transportation signs. Check the current source and reservation instructions before moving.
Describe the passenger location
If instructions are unclear, send a visible sign or landmark, terminal and level to the booking contact. Stay in a safe pedestrian area while clarifying the meeting point. Do not cross traffic lanes, enter a restricted zone or follow a stranger’s claimed shortcut.
Call the car forward when ready
Collect the full party and bags before reporting readiness. A vehicle may not be permitted to wait at the meeting point while passengers are still inside. Keep a phone available for a revised permitted location if access changes.
If the passenger needs assistance
Discuss walking or boarding requirements before booking and arrange airport assistance with the appropriate provider where needed. A car reservation does not itself provide terminal escort or accessible transport. Confirm both the vehicle and the practical path to it.
Construction and a changed door
Airports revise curbs. If a sign contradicts a note in your phone from last year, follow the sign and call the booking contact. Do not walk to a closed lane because a map pin is still there.
Departure drop-off can differ from arrival pickup at the same airport. Say which one you are doing. A rideshare lane and a car-service lane are not always the same place. Use the instruction on your reservation for a chauffeured car.

You can, if it matches today’s signs. The reservation and the airport’s current instruction still win over an old image.
What if police are waving cars past the door I expected?
Follow the officer and the signs, then tell the booking contact where you were sent.
